The Dean Academy is a school that is committed to the core values of respect and responsibility, with everything we do focused around our mission statement of “Preparing you today for a successful tomorrow”. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive and aspirational community school with a supportive culture where all students are encouraged to show the ambition and drive to be the very best version of themselves, both academically and within their holistic development as well-rounded individuals.

Our curriculum is varied and deliberately challenging, whilst also tailored to meet the needs of our young people, delivered via the highest quality of research informed teaching and learning practice. In addition to this, we have a strong focus upon extra-curricular opportunities, offering our students a breadth of clubs and activities that they can get involved in, thus providing memorable and rewarding experiences and making a significant contribution to their development.

As a school community, it is our view that all young people have the right to learn in a calm and focused environment. We offer comprehensive pastoral wellbeing support, with positive relationships underpinning all that we do, which is a key factor in facilitating a safe, happy and purposeful culture.

The Dean Academy is incredibly fortunate to have such a committed and professional staffing body and, alongside working collaboratively with all other stakeholders, including parents/carers, the local community, our Local Governing Board and our colleagues in The Athelstan Trust we create an environment where all students thrive.

It is my absolute privilege to be the new headteacher at The Dean Academy and I would like to thank you for visiting our website. If you wish to know more about our school, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
