I am extremely proud and privileged to be the Headteacher of The Dean Academy. We are on a journey of change and improvement and this is an exciting time for the school. With high expectations of students and staff alike, I am confident that we are becoming a school that our community can be proud of.
At The Dean Academy Restorative Practice is at the heart of what we do – we believe that a school can only be successful when it is a true community. Our vision is based on enjoyment, achievement and community and we ask all members of our community to be responsible, respectful and ready. We expect nothing less than exemplary behaviour and attitude to learning from our students. We believe that all students can succeed through hard work and resilience.
We offer a broad and challenging curriculum to enable students to gain a deep knowledge and understanding of the world around them. We are proud of our inclusive approach, which is informed by the principle that a stimulating and personalised education is an entitlement for every child.
As part of The Athelstan Trust and Avon Teaching School Alliance, we ensure that our dedicated staff have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from Malmesbury School and Bradon Forest School.
The support of our whole school community; children, families and staff, is vitally important to our success and I look forward to meeting and working with you. We would be delighted to welcome you to our school if you would like to arrange a visit.
