The course aims to provide pupils with the foundations needed for further academic or
vocational studies while giving them the life skills they need to be successful in their future
choices.

This course can guide many students in careers such as…

engineering, architecture, accounting, banking/finance, science/research, computer
programming, economist, medicine.

However, the majority of courses, apprenticeships and jobs require at least a grade 4 in
GCSE Maths.

Specification: Edexcel GCSE Mathematics.

Final exam: Three exams of equal weighting sat in May/June.
