We believe that learning should be engaging, challenging and encourage students to take risks in order to break through any
barriers they perceive as being obstacles to their success. We have high expectations and our teachers support students in
reaching these. At The Dean Academy, we see each student as an individual and personalised learning is at the forefront of the
school’s vision. As a small school, we are proud to say that our staff know each young person and their families well. We work
with you to support your child as they grow into resilient, creative and successful individuals.
Students enjoy a challenging and broad curriculum at The Dean Academy, with our Key Stage Four curriculum being unique in
the local area for its ambitious, diverse and comprehensive choices of subjects. Our most recent leavers have gone on to study
at a wide range of providers, taking on A Levels, Level 3 BTEC courses and higher level apprenticeships and then on to study
at Russell Group universities. We pride ourselves on ensuring that we are fully comprehensive and celebrate all ambitions and
successes with equal enthusiasm.
